Put It On Your Phone
Your shop, on your home screen, like an app.
Step by step
-
Open Safari, and only Safari
This is where people get stuck. It has to be Safari - not Chrome, and not the browser tucked inside Facebook or Instagram. If you got here by tapping a link in a text or an email, open Safari fresh.
-
Go to makerpickup.com/login
Log in before you install, not after. If you do it the other way round you will just end up logging in a second time. Get all the way to your dashboard.
-
Tap the Share button
It is at the bottom of Safari - the little square with an arrow coming out of the top. Tap it and a list slides up.
-
Tap Add to Home Screen
Scroll that list down a little way and you will find it. Give it a name - MakerPickup is fine - and tap Add. The crate lands on your home screen.
-
What you get
No address bar, no tabs. It fills the screen like any other app. If you go a couple of weeks without opening it your phone may ask you to log in again, which is your phone tidying up rather than anything broken.
-
On an Android phone
Same idea, slightly different words: open it in Chrome, tap the three dots, and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
